    GREY AFRICA’S JESSICA WHEELER WINS RISING STAR AWARD

    The annual Standard Bank Rising Star awards honour individuals between the ages of 28 and 40.

    The annual Standard Bank Rising Star awards honour individuals between the ages of 28 and 40 whose inspiration and passion combined with their capacity for achievement and success make them stand out among their peers in their various sectors.

    This year saw Grey Africa’s Jessica Wheeler take top honours in the Media and Marketing category. This is not the first time that one of Grey Africa’s staff complement make the list of winners: current Grey Africa Managing Director Paul Jackson also won the award in 2013.

    “Jessica is an asset to not only Grey Africa but to the entire Grey Group, her ability to think laterally taking an all-inclusive view of business, with a good appreciation of the increasingly important social and digital environments is central for any pitch or brief, giving us greater insight into any client or potential client - which has led to her recent promotion to Strategic Planning Director within the group. She is definitely a hands-on and inspirational leader,” says Paul.

    Jessica has been pivotal in Grey Africa’s growth and development, having extensive experience in the marketing and media industry both locally and internationally.

    The Rising Star Awards took place on Sunday 26 July 2015.
