Grey Advertising Africa's latest campaign for Consol Glass evoked nostalgia to remind South Africans that for generations the best things have come in glass. As part of Consol’s #BringBackPure campaign, launched to celebrate the glass manufacturer’s 70th birthday, Consol, in collaboration with Deneys Swiss Dairy, brought back home deliveries of delicious fresh milk in glass bottles.
The Consol milkmen hand delivered over 10 000 bottles of fresh farm milk to homes across both Johannesburg and Cape Town in delivery vans designed to look like the authentic ones from the past. Recipients not only got to experience fresh milk out of glass, they also got to keep their beautifully designed Consol milk bottles, which are reusable, recyclable and eco-friendly. Everyone agreed that milk not only looks and tastes so much better in glass, but it’s also healthier, because glass is made from 100% natural, environmentally friendly materials, which are completely inert.
“In today’s fast paced environment there is a culture that everything is disposable. Unlike other containers, glass bottles are 100% natural and reusable. By using glass, we’re lessening the strain on our landfills, and preserving the earth for our children to make their own memories,” said Dale Carolin, Marketing Director at Consol Glass.
