The Unquiet Film Series is a collaboration between Grey London, The Times and The Sunday Times' editorial and archive teams and some of the world’s best independent filmmakers. Together, using 229 years of archive material, we crafted a compelling series of films celebrating the historical and cultural impact of the newspapers. The collection of films is the first time The Times (est. 1785) and The Sunday Times (est. 1822) have committed their stories to film and explore the values, beliefs and behaviours of past and present editors, journalists and readers. The Unquiet Film Series was launched on a bespoke digital platform at ForeverUnquiet.co.uk and premiered on TV - taking over an entire three-minute ad break during Channel 4’s Homeland season finale, showcasing our film Bearing Witness to an audience of 6m people.
