Greyfest 101: All you need to know

Grey London was transformed into a festival to celebrate the very best of what we can do. MD Olivia Browne explains what inspired her to bring a slice of glasto to Clerkenwell.

    By Olivia Browne | February 19, 2018

Who doesn’t love a festival? At Grey, we decided to hold our very own: GreyFest (see what we did there?).

It was a festival of creativity, born out of a chat Caroline and I had one day – both of us dazzled like wide-eyed children at the array of super-talented people we kept discovering when we joined. So GreyFest was born: a celebration of the awesome talent in the building, all aimed at better understanding how their future-facing creativity can help solve our clients’ business problems.

SO what did Greyfest actually look like? Well it wasn't for the faint of heart! There was an experience-planning escape-room gameshow - I know what you’re thinking, but let me tell you, it was stressful as hell, highly competitive and flipping brilliant. There was a session that taught us how to make interactive cinemagraphs, an eye-opening-and-watering talk entitled Trump, Trials and True Love: How Data Fuels Creativity, an unmissable storytelling app/lightshow by our very own tech magician Perry and when it cam to food we kept the festival vibes alive and brought in burgers from Patty & Bun.

We also had some incredible external speakers, including one of our collaborators and all-time favourite companies Artichoke, fresh from organizing the Lumière Festival. And all in the name of learning. Next stop: we’ll be doing it all again for our clients. Can’t bloody wait.

    What we've been up to
