Open Culture We have pioneered a different culture and way of working at Grey London. We call it Open. It means direct access to creatives and planners. Smart, fast, agile and versatile solutions. No executive sign-offs, no production lines. No ego. Multi-discipline teams solve business problems together. The client is at the heart, central to the work. No physical departmental structures, allowing multi-discipline teams to cluster around the task in hand, rather than rigidly sticking within their department boundaries.
- Diversity For far too long our industry has looked the same: the same people, the same backgrounds, the same way of doing things. We want that to change because we know the more diverse we are, the more powerful our ideas will be. So, last year to mark Grey’s centenary year, we launched the Diversity Taskforce; a programme bringing together businesses from across the industry to pool resources, talent and energy to find effective solutions. We also run our own initiatives including collecting some of the most in-depth diversity data in British business, running a 100 nationwide outreach programme for schools, providing a bursary for low social mobility talent and running a diversity mentoring scheme.
Life at Grey London There are more than 300 of us at our offices in Clerkenwell. We’re big on development and growing the talents of our teams. That includes mentoring, internal and external training and great on-the-job learning opportunities. We also host a variety of industry events in our large reception/bar space, offering staff a chance to learn from some of the biggest names in the industry. For our staff there are regular chances to hang out – including the legendary Grey London free bar night every Thursday.
