New York – November 1, 2016 – James R. Heekin, Chairman and CEO of Grey Group, today announced that Eduardo Maruri has been appointed President of Grey Latin America which operates in 13 markets in the region, effective in 2017.

Eduardo Maruri has served as CEO and CCO of Maruri Grey, the company's market-leading, full-service agency in Ecuador. Founded in 1991 by Jimmy Maruri and his son, Eduardo, Grey acquired the firm this August after a long partnership.
Under Eduardo Maruri's leadership, Maruri Grey has been named Agency of the Year 12 times by the local industry trade association and one of the ten most creative agencies in the region, winning 30 Cannes Lions in the last five years alone. The agency employs 130 people at its main office in Guayaquil and in Quito.

Eduardo Maruri succeeds Alain Groenendaal, who has led Grey Latin America with distinction since 2012, and becomes President of Grey Europe in 2017.
